Band Camp is almost here—and being prepared is the first step to success! Every student needs to come ready to rehearse, march, and perform at their best. Here’s your official checklist of what to bring to every rehearsal:
✅ Your Instrument or Equipment – and anything it needs to work properly. Don’t forget valve oil, reeds, sticks, mallets, straps, etc.
✏️ A Pencil – You’ll need it for marking music and drill!
📒 1½ to 2” 3-Ring Binder with plastic sheet protectors – REQUIRED AT EVERY REHEARSAL.
📱 Tuner/Metronome App – Keep that tempo steady and pitch perfect.
📲 Ultimate Drill Book (UDB) App – On a phone or tablet for Drill Learning Time only.
💧 Large Insulated Water Bottle (like a Stanley) – Fill with ice at home. No sharing water!
💊 Self-Administered Medications – Inhalers, EpiPens, Benadryl, etc. (Pain meds must be handled by your legal guardian.)
🧢 Hat or Sun Visor – Protect yourself from the sun.
👟 Tennis Shoes with Arch Support – NO flip-flops, Crocs, slides, or bare feet.
🧴 Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) – Reapply as needed!
🦟 Bug Repellant – Keep the critters away.
🌀 Neck Fan – Optional, but it helps beat the heat.
🧼 Sweat Towel – You’ll need it. Trust us.
💛 Patience & Kindness – We’re all learning and growing together.
🎯 A Great Attitude & Fantastic Work Ethic – The most important tools you can bring!
