Your attendance and commitment are essential to the success of our program, and being present ensures we are prepared, polished, and performing at our best. FEB 6TH-7TH: DISTRICT HONOR BAND – Clinic & Concert
District 11: District Honor Band
Event Site: Baldwin High School
155 Highway 49 West
Milledgeville, GA 31061
Students who made district band will travel to Baldwin High school for the weekend (All expenses paid) for this clinic and concert experience among the best students in District 11. Hotel and transportation will be provided, students will only need to bring money for meals.
FEB 11TH: ANNUAL BAND AWARDS BANQUET @ 6PM
We will host our annual band awards banquet on this date. This will be a celebration event for the awesome Marching Season we had: We started the year off with Tubas and percussion performing for the entire district, DMB being featured on the local news several times, DMB being named band of the week, and then being rated SUPERIOR all year! Let’s celebrate these accomplishments! We want to see everyone and their families in attendance! To assist with costs, students will be expected to choose a dish they will bring for this event from a list of items that will be provided by the boosters. That list will be sent out on remind. The attire is semi formal so everyone is expected to dress up nice (no jeans/sneakers). If you are a parent or adult supporter and interested in helping with decorations or donations, please see Mrs. Jennifer Thompson to sign up. You can reach her on the booster’s remind app group. FEB 12TH & 13TH: LGPE CONCERT BAND PRACTICE 3:15PM – 6:00PM
Mandatory rehearsals for Large Group Performance Evaluation. We expect to see every member of this ensemble (2nd, 4th,6th Periods) in attendance.
FEB 18TH &19TH: LGPE SYMPHONIC BAND PRACTICE 3:15PM – 6:00PM
Mandatory rehearsals for Large Group Performance Evaluation. We expect to see every member of this ensemble (5th, and 6th Periods) in attendance.
FEB 20TH: PRE – LGPE CONCERT @ 6PM
Mandatory performance for Large Group Performance Evaluation preparation. We expect to see every member of both ensembles, The Concert & The Symphonic band, in attendance.
FEB 21ST: SYMPHONIC BAND CAMP
Last chance to prepare for LGPE as an ensemble. We expect to see every member of this ensemble (5th, and 6th Periods) in attendance. The schedule is as follows:
8AM – 12PM – Rehearsals
12PM – 1PM – Lunch (Provided)
1PM – 4PM – Rehearsals
